Department of Health fills the order for their stockpile.
The Department of Health and Human Services said on Wednesday that it was fulfilling an order for 200 ventilators from Florida. The president’s administration has voiced concerns over the rise in coronavirus cases due to the Delta variant. The CDC recently corrected the number of cases in Florida to an accurate lower total than had previously been reported.
A spokesperson from the Florida department of health said, “The Department routinely works with the federal government to ensure adequate resources are available and ready to be distributed at all times, as done with this recent request.” The state reportedly has plenty of emergency supplies and is just maintaining the supply cushion.
